What material has resistance to harsh chemicals, steam, water and sea water?  What material maintains dimensional integrity in the harshest of conditions including a continuous operating temperature of 480°F (249°C)?

PEEK (polyetheretherketone), a high-performance engineering plastic, is the answer.

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) has a proven track record in challenging environments such as  oil and gas, aerospace, and semiconductor.  It is a colourless, organic, crystalline thermoplastic polymer in the polyaryletherketone (PAEK) family.  PEEK™ offers excellent thermal and chemical resistant properties and outstanding resistance to abrasion and dynamic fatigue.  It is recommended for electrical components where a combination of high continuous service temperature (480°F) with very low emission of smoke and toxic fumes on exposure to flame is required.

Ceramic PEEK (TECAPEEK®) is the same amazing Polyetheretherketone but filled with ceramic.  This ceramic filled material was specifically designed for the stringent requirements of the semiconductor market.  Because it resists moisture absorption and the formation of burrs, Ceramic PEEK can hold dimensional stability on the most intricate of manufacturing processes, therefore, maintaining the tightest of tolerances allowing for more accurate and precise manufacturing.

CCT Precision Machining is an industry leader in PEEK™ Machining.  We are able to maintain tolerances, create features and produce parts that even the material manufacturers deem impossible. By using high speed spindles capable of turning at 30,000 RPM, tightly controlled work envelopes and cutting edge work holding systems, CCT Precision can machine thermoplastic components from the most simple part to the most intricate part on any of the 25+ machines in our facility.

  • 27” x 15” x 13” Work Envelope
  • Tolerances to +/- .00025” (0.006 mm)
  • Hole Diameters to 0.003” (0.076 mm)
