Torlon® Machining at CCT Precision
Torlon® Polyamideimide Materials are thermosetting or thermoplastic amorphous polymers that have exceptional mechanical, thermal and chemical resistant properties. Torlon®, the highest performing, melt processable plastic, has superior resistance to elevated temperatures. Parts machined from Torlon® provide greater compressive strength and higher impact resistance than most advanced engineering plastics. Along with Torlon, names for other Polyamideimide materials are Duratron®, PAI and Tecator.
CCT Precision Machining is an industry leader in Torlon® Machining. We are able to maintain tolerances, create features and produce parts that even the material manufacturers deem impossible. By using high speed spindles capable of turning at 30,000 RPM, tightly controlled work envelopes and cutting edge work holding systems, CCT Precision can machine thermoplastic components from the most simple part to the most intricate part on any of the 35 machines in our facility.
