Copper Machining at CCT Precision
Copper is one of the most commonly used metals in manufacturing today. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and offers excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, making it ideal for use in electronics, communications equipment, and similar devices. Copper Alloys 10100 and 11000 have high electrical and thermal conductivity, in addition to excellent hot and cold workability. The primary copper machining application for these alloys is in electrical conductors. They are also widely used for gaskets, switches, terminals, and connectors, transformers, electronic parts, ball floats, electrical and heat exchangers.
CCT Precision Machining is an industry leader in Copper Machining and MicroMachining. We are able to maintain tolerances, create features and produce parts that even the material manufacturers deem impossible. By using high speed spindles capable of turning at 30,000 RPM, tightly controlled work envelopes and cutting edge work holding systems, CCT Precision can machine Copper and other non-ferrous metal parts from the most simple to the most intricate on any of the 35 machines in our facility.
- 27” x 15” x 13” Work Envelope
- Tolerances to +/- .00025” (0.006 mm)
- Hole Diameters to 0.003” (0.076 mm)
